Sophie, Countess of Wessex, Went Full Casual in a Green T-Shirt at Her Latest Outing

Sophie, Countess of Wessex, is taking a practical approach to her return to public outings. Queen Elizabeth’s daughter-in-law recently stepped out in a casual T-shirt and jeans..

On Tuesday, the 55-year-old royal paid a visit to St. John Ambulance’s Operational Support Hub, an organization that provides first aid and emergency medical services, to meet with and thank volunteers for their work during the current pandemic.

During the event, Sophie helped organize deliveries and PPE shipments to ambulance crews, specialist cleaners, hospital staff, first aid facilities and other organizations that need supplies.

It’s clear that the‬ royal was ready to get to work, because she looked laid-back in a green T-shirt with a pair of white jeans. Her hair was pulled back in a clip to keep it out of her face.

Ahead of St. John’s Day—an annual celebration on June 24th of the birth of John the Baptist, as well as of the work that St. John Ambulance provides—Sophie also shared a special message for those on the frontlines, which was shared by the charity’s official Twitter account. "Thank you for all that you've done and all that you continue to do," she said. "Over 115,000 hours of voluntary service—it's quite staggering."

This is the second time we’ve seen the Countess of Wessex leave quarantine for a public outing since lockdown. Last week, she stopped by Childline NSPCC—the U.K.'s leading children's charity that focuses on preventing abuse and helping those affected to recover—to thank staff and volunteers for their work supporting vulnerable children. Again, she opted for a more casual look (not to mention, a royal rewear) with a camouflage dress from European brand French Connection.

Keep these cool looks—and uplifting work—coming, Sophie.
