Sophie, Countess of Wessex Shows Off Skills During Military E-Gaming Challenge

Sophie, Countess of Wessex looks good in uniform.

The 56-year-old royal recently visited RAF Wittering to attend the annual Countess of Wessex Cup. Per a post shared on the royal family’s official Instagram account, the tournament sees “HRH’s military regiments and associations come together to compete in a series of challenges.” Some of the competitions were held remotely to allow for overseas regiments to get involved.

The post included a handful of photos featuring Prince Edward’s wife—looking military chic in uniform—alongside servicemen and women at the event. (Participants included personnel from RAF Wittering, the Royal Corps of Army Music, Queen Alexandra’s Royal Army Nursing Corps, HMS Daring and the 5th Battalion of The Rifles.)

Two shots even featured the queen’s daughter-in-law trying her hand at an e-gaming challenge. See the images below.

This marks the royal’s first official engagement since enjoying her summer break. Last month, Sophie and her husband, Prince Edward, paid a visit to Queen Elizabeth at Balmoral, where Her Majesty is currently staying.

Fans and followers were happy to see the countess back in action and praised her work in the comments section of the post. One user wrote, “The Countess is such a remarkable and exemplary woman!” A second individual added, “She is so lovely and hard working. Lovely to see Her Royal Highness again.”

Over the last year, Sophie and Edward have stepped up their roles as senior members of the royal family to pick up the slack left behind by Meghan Markle and Prince Harry.

Keep up the good work, Soph.
