Sofia Vergara is crushing the TV game and has been for the past six years.
The Modern Family star landed the top spot on Forbes’s annual list of top-earning actresses by raking in a whopping $41.5 million (pretax) this year. Surprisingly, her Emmy-nominated role as Gloria Pritchett on Modern Family only accounted for a quarter of that income. The remaining amount came from additional TV/film roles, speaking engagements and endorsement deals.
Although Vergara made slightly less than the $43 million she made last year, she still beat out runner-up Kaley Cuoco (The Big Bang Theory) by more than $15 million. Mindy Kaling (The Mindy Project) came in at number three with $13 million, and Ellen Pompeo (Grey’s Anatomy) and Mariska Hargitay (Law & Order: SVU) rounded out the top five.
Brava, Sofia. Brava.
