Sofía Vergara must have sensed that her followers were itching for one of her iconic throwbacks, because the Modern Family alum just treated us to another vintage snap from her early modeling days.
In the photo, Vergara poses in front of a glittering, blue body of water, while sporting a shiny gold, two-piece bathing suit that screams ’90s. And this is quite fitting, according to Vergara's caption, where she said, “#tbt Miami the 90’s,” along with a few palm tree emojis.
Fellow celebrities showed their love in the comments, like Heidi Klum and Paris Hilton, who both typed a series of fire emojis. Meanwhile, Vergara's fellow America's Got Talent judge, Howie Mandel, said, “Haven’t changed.”
While Vergara looks totally retro in this two-piece, her sparkly swimwear might be something we see more of in the near future. Just last summer, Nylon pointed out that glittery bathing suits are making a big comeback, and we'll be curious to see if Vergara's throwback contributes to this trend in 2022.
This is not the first time Vergara has shared a bathing suit throwback to Instagram. In December of last year, she posted a a different modeling pic, where she's seen lounging on an office chair in a black halter-top bikini. In her caption, she said, “#tbt Los Angeles early 2000’s.”
But the America's Got Talent judge didn't only model bathing suits back in the day. Last fall, she treated followers to a pair of modeling shots that were taken when she was only a teenager, with pics of herself in a black and gold dress and large dangly earrings. “#tbt Barranquilla. The 80’s,” she said in the caption.
