Frank (William H. Macy) is using his leg injury to collect prescription drugs and spending far too much time with an old friend who’s a worse influence thank Frank himself. Meanwhile, Debbie (Emma Kenney) has taken over the role of Fiona (we miss you, Emmy Rossum) as the family’s new matriarch and she’s keeping a tight watch over the $50,000 Fiona left the family. While Debbie tries to make sure Frank doesn’t get his hands on their rainy-day fund, Lip (Jeremy Allen White) is treading carefully with Tami (Kate Miner), who’s suddenly affectionate with him. Ian (Cameron Monaghan) is also proceeding with caution as he dives back into his relationship with his cellmate and love, Mickey (Noel Fisher).
Season ten will also explore Carl’s (Ethan Cutkowsky) decision about what he plans to do with his life and returns to the South Side. Liam (Christian Isaiah) is doing some decision-making of his own and is dedicating himself to learning about black history and culture from V (Shanola Hampton). Kevin (Steve Howey)—well, judging from the shirt-ripping and testosterone powder, he’s going through something.
We can’t wait to see what’s to come when we return to the South Side, and Shameless season ten premieres on Showtime on Sunday, November 10, at 9 p.m. PT/ET.
