Serena Williams’s Date Night Involved Lace, a Little Black Dress and…Crocs?

When you’re eating for two, comfort is of the utmost importance. And for expecting mom Serena Williams, that means wearing cozy shoes for a date night with her husband, Alexis Ohanian.

Last week on Instagram, the tennis star, 41, shared a photo with her hubby, 40, taken before their date night. In it, Williams is rocking a mini black dress with lace detailing. For footwear, she chose to go for the comfy option and opted for some black-and-white Nike sneakers.

Ohanian also wanted to keep things pretty casual (just like his wife) by wearing a black baseball cap, a short-sleeve shirt, shorts and a pair of Classic Black Crocs ($50). In the caption, Williams wrote, “Gotta love Date night.”

Her followers gushed over the pair in the comments section, with one person writing, “Awwww.” Another couldn’t help but notice the contrast in their outfits, saying, “Y’all dressed to go two different places.”

Williams and Ohanian’s latest date night comes almost a month after the proud parents revealed the gender of their second baby. Just months after revealing her growing baby bump on the Met Gala red carpet, the Grand Slam champ and her husband threw a baby shower/gender reveal party.

For the celebration, Ohanian decided to mix things up a little and planned a firework show to reveal the gender of their second child. And right on cue, the fireworks lit up the sky and spelled out the words “It’s a...girl” in bright pink writing.
