Serena Williams and her daughter, Olympia, have decided to be superheroes for the day.
On Instagram, the 39-year-old mom shared a serene beach photo of herself and her daughter in matching white capes and wrote, "Not all Superhero women wear capes.... but we do. @olympiaohanian."
The snap, which was taken by Williams's husband, Alexis Ohanian, features the tennis star in a flattering white bathing suit and cape while her three-year-old wears a similar one-piece and mantle. Both have their backs toward the camera as they enjoy each other's company on an empty pier. And the sandy shore, paired with the turquoise ocean and cloudy skies, offer a beautifully picturesque scene, making the photo almost gallery-worthy.
One fan wrote, "Omg this is so precious." Another fan gushed, "Beautiful photo! You are truly blessed."
It's no secret that Williams is a hero to many both on and off the court. The record-breaking tennis champion has been successfully balancing her career with motherhood, and during her chat with TODAY in February, she admitted that it's everyday working moms who inspire her to keep going.
She revealed, "I think of what they do literally every single day to support their family and to be a rock for their family. And it helps me keep going. There is not a day that goes by that I don't think that women are just really amazing."
