Sorry, Kim Cattrall, but Sarah Jessica Parker just offered the coveted role of Samantha Jones in Sex and the City 3 to—yet another—talk-show host. (Hint: It’s not Stephen Colbert.)

On today’s episode of The Ellen DeGeneres Show, Parker discussed the possibility of a third Sex and the City installment and revealed that she already has her eyes set on a worthy Samantha replacement.

At the three-minute-and-45-second mark, Parker is talking about the Sex and the City sequel when she jokingly admits that she felt forced into offering Cattrall’s vacant role to Colbert during an episode of The Late Show last week. She goes on to explain that while the cast and fans are still in mourning over the canceled third film, she isn’t opposed to revisiting the idea in the near future. In fact, she may even consider DeGeneres for the role of Samantha.

The daytime host jokingly responds, “That’s who I identify with on that show. That is me. I am a sexual beast.”

In the wise words of Samantha Jones, “Honey, they don’t call it a job for nothing.”
