“I’ve been very vocal about it,” she told the outlet. “Makes no sense. Slow boat. Slowly going towards an island. That’s one I wished I hadn't done and no fans came around that I know of.”
Back in 1997, Bullock starred alongside Jason Patric in the action film. The story centers around Annie (Bullock) and her boyfriend trying to stop a Caribbean cruise ship from crashing into an oil tanker.
The film served as a sequel to the 1994 original Speed, which starred Keanu Reeves. In the original movie, Reeves played Jack Traven, an L.A. police officer tasked with disarming a bomb that was hidden on a bus full of passengers. Bullock's Annie was one of those passengers.
Last December, Reeves appeared on The Graham Norton Show and explained why he didn’t return for the sequel film. “At the time, I didn't respond to the script,” he said, according to CNN.
“I really wanted to work with Sandra Bullock, I loved playing Jack Traven, and I loved Speed, but an ocean liner?” he continued. “I had nothing against the artists involved, but at that time I had the feeling it just wasn’t right.”
Still, Sandra has an impressive movie catalog—putting Speed 2 aside.
