After several months of negotiations, the man synonymous with American Idol, Ryan Seacrest, will return to host the popular singing competition that launched his career 15 years ago.

Today, Seacrest's Live with Kelly & Ryan co-host Kelly Ripa announced the (well, duh) news that he will be (re)adding yet another job to his already expansive résumé. “I am happy to confirm, I can confirm with absolute confirmation, that Ryan Seacrest is returning [as] the host of American Idol,” Ripa shared on this morning's show.

It all started in May 2017, when ABC revealed its plans to reboot Idol after the show's final episode aired on its former network, Fox, in April 2017. Seacrest will join Katy Perry, the only judge confirmed thus far for the 2018 reboot. Perry also joined in on the announcement fun with a tweet, “I’m spicy, @RyanSeacrest is seasoned! All the right ingredients are coming together on @AmericanIdol. Have YOU auditioned? #TheNextIdol.”

One down, three to go. Randy, Paula and Simon...what say you?
