Ryan Seacrest Brings Back One of Our Favorite Looks on ‘Live’ Today

Ryan Seacrest’s black specs have officially made a comeback on Live with Kelly and Ryan. While the morning show host has worn them sporadically in the past, we can’t help but wonder: Are the frames here to stay?

The producers of Live shared a behind-the-scenes clip from today’s episode on Instagram. In the clip, the American Idol host switched up his normal look with a set of sophisticated glasses, which he paired with a matching black shirt and navy blue suit. Kelly Ripa also looked quite chic with a white button-up shirt and a red pencil skirt.

The Live cast and crew took a moment to say a happy birthday to announcer Deja Vu in the post caption, writing, “Happy Bday @dejavuspeaks and half of the staff [laughing face emoji].” Viewers flooded the comments section with special birthday messages for the media personality, who joined the morning show last year.

Seacrest has donned his black glasses on the morning show several times before (and we're always a fan of the look). Just a few months ago, the 47-year-old co-host decided to switch things up and donned the spectacles with a matching suit and white shirt.

On several occasions, Ripa has worn a similar accessory on the morning show. Back in November 2020, the All My Children alum sported a pair of black glasses on Live, which went nicely with her sheer gray midi-dress and her favorite pair of green, suede pumps designed by Gianvito Rossi.

We sure hope Seacrest’s black frames will stick around.
