Earlier this month, Good Morning America’s Robin Roberts exchanged vows with her longtime partner, Amber Laign, 48, in a backyard wedding. And now, the news anchor is reminiscing on their romantic getaway to Curaçao, where the pair enjoyed a magical honeymoon on a white sandy beach as a newly married couple.
In a new Instagram post, the broadcast journalist, 62, shared a clip of the newlyweds dipping their toes in the ocean.
Roberts wrote in the caption, “Following our wonderful wedding celebration full of dancing galore…felt so good to wiggle our toes in the sand during our magical honeymoon in beautiful Curaçao! Will be thinking of this view when I’m back on @goodmorningamerica Monday morning. Will also be thinking of all the well wishes. Thank you & bless you. #sundayserenity.”
On Friday, September 8, Roberts married her girlfriend of 18 years in an intimate wedding ceremony that was held in the backyard of the home they share together. The ABC anchor shared photos (snapped by professional photographer Chris J. Evans) taken on their special day on Instagram, which show the pair walking down the aisle wearing beautiful white gowns.
“An intimate, magical wedding ceremony in our backyard followed by a joyous reception…ohhhh the dancing!!” Roberts wrote in the caption. “We are immensely grateful to all for making it a day and a night to remember. Honeymoon here we come!”
