Rihanna fans are about to get a double dose of new music.
One of the singer’s producers recently sat down for an interview with Rolling Stone and revealed that Rihanna has not one, but two albums in the works. *Breaks into happy dance*
“[Rihanna’s team has], no lie, 500 records for this project [from] different producers and writers,” he said. “They’re only choosing ten records. They’ve been having writing camps and trying to keep them quiet for almost a year and a half now.” Beyoncé would be proud.
The anonymous producer also revealed that “every artist, every producer, every songwriter in Jamaica or of Jamaican descent” has submitted samples for the singer to consider. Although the track lists haven’t been finalized, the first album will have a reggae feel, while the second will be more pop-oriented.
No word on when the new music will be released, but we’ll be pouring it up regardless.
