In the clip, Witherspoon and Deacon are listening to the song as they lounge on the porch. Suddenly, the Little Fires Everywhere star comes up with the brilliant idea of choreographing a TikTok dance to “Long Run.”
“Deacon, I should make up a TikTok dance to this song,” she says. Deacon’s response? “Oh, god. No, Mom, no. No!”
Witherspoon proceeds to demonstrate a series of dance moves, which include a combination of Vogue poses and hip thrusts.
The actress captioned the post, “When your kid has his first single… you gotta dance! #longrun @deaconphillippe @ninanesbitt.”
We weren’t super surprised by the song’s release, since Deacon previously teased the news on Instagram. The 16-year-old shared the single’s black and white cover art, featuring him in a sweater with slicked-back hair.
This TikTok dance, on the other hand? Totally unexpected.
