Reese Witherspoon married ex-husband Ryan Phillippe at a young age, but despite their failed relationship, she wouldn’t change a thing.
Witherspoon sat down with ITV’s Lorraine show and candidly discussed the lessons she’s learned about love, loss and finding herself. She said, “What do you do when you get to 40, and you made a decision when you were 25 to get married and have kids? I got married when I was 23, and I had two kids by the time I was 27.”
She went on to empathize,“I don’t know, sometimes it’s good to know yourself [first].”
But the Home Again star said she has no regrets about how the couple’s relationship panned out. “I would never change anything,” she added.
Phillippe and Witherspoon began dating around the time they starred in Cruel Intentions and tied the knot soon after. They divorced in 2007 and have two children together, Ava (18) and Deacon (13). Witherspoon went on to marry Jim Toth in 2011, and the couple welcomed their son, Tennessee (5), in 2012.
In Reese we trust.
