The original Jurassic Park cast—Laura Dern, Sam Neill and Jeff Goldblum—is reuniting for Jurassic World 3, and no one is more excited than Reese Witherspoon.
It all started yesterday when Collider confirmed that the iconic trio is returning for the franchise’s third installment. Shortly after the news broke, Witherspoon celebrated the reunion on social media with a reaction that will make every Jurassic Park fan say, “Same.”
The Legally Blonde star re-shared an article on Twitter and wrote, “I love every #JurassicWorld movie but now THIS?!? @LauraDern, #SamNeill, @JeffGoldblum are back! Can I buy tix now?” If you’re looking for a plus-one, Reese, you know where to find us.
Witherspoon’s reaction is in response to yesterday’s announcement. The studio confirmed that Dern, Neill and Goldblum will reprise their iconic characters: Ellie Satler, Alan Grant and Ian Malcolm, respectively. Unfortunately, not much is known about Jurassic World 3, but the veterans will have “sizeable roles,” according to the outlet.
The highly anticipated film will feature the return of Chris Pratt (Owen) and Bryce Dallas Howard (Claire), who both starred in Jurassic World and Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom.
Jurassic World 3 will be written by Colin Trevorrow (Fallen Kingdom) and franchise newcomer Emily Carmichael (Pacific Rim Uprising). Trevorrow will also serve as an executive producer alongside Steven Spielberg (Jurassic Park).
