Somebody pinch us, please. Not only is Jennifer Aniston returning to the small screen for the first time since Friends and its ten-season run 13 years ago, but she's doing it alongside—drum roll, please—Reese Witherspoon.
The two actresses (aka the dream team) are joining forces to star in an untitled TV project about morning shows and the New York media scene. Unfortunately, little information about the network, genre and/or characters have been released, but there are quite a few prestigious names already attached. According to The Hollywood Reporter, industry veteran Michael Ellenberg, former HBO head of drama, will helm the show alongside Steve Kloves (Harry Potter), who's signed on to produce, and Jay Carson (House of Cards), who's signed on to produce and pen the script.
This isn't Aniston and Witherspoon's first rodeo making TV gold together. Once upon a time, Witherspoon guest starred on Friends as Jill Green, Rachel Green's (Aniston) younger sister. Despite their roles as jealous, clothes-stealing sisters on camera, the pair have since remained close friends IRL.
They had us at a good 83 percent with dream duo Aniston and Witherspoon, but if the show is anything like Big Little Lies, we're 100 percent in.
