During the screening, Witherspoon addressed the audience and revealed that she couldn’t be more thrilled for the next installment of BLL. “It all began with one phone call between two friends,” she said. “The show is really a testament to the power of female friendship, so I’m enormously proud.”
The actress went on to praise her “incredible partnership” with her co-star and fellow executive producer, Nicole Kidman, who also thanked the masses for their support. “Thank you to all our families,” Kidman said. “Anyone in this room who works really hard knows that if you have a supportive family, it makes it so much easier.”
In addition to Witherspoon (Madeline Martha Mackenzie) and Kidman (Celeste Wright), other attendees included Shailene Woodley (Jane Chapman), Laura Dern (Renata Klein), Meryl Streep (Mary Louise Wright), Alexander Skarsgård (Perry Wright), Adam Scott (Ed Mackenzie), Zoë Kravitz (Bonnie Carlson) and James Tupper (Nathan Carlson).
Oh, how we’ve missed you, Madeline Martha Mackenzie.
