If You Loved ‘The Sinner,’ You Need to See Netflix’s New Series ‘Quicksand’

If you’re looking to diversify your Netflix streaming queue, you’re in luck.

The streaming service just dropped the first official trailer for season one of Quicksand, and it has serious binge-watching potential. (Think 13 Reasons Why meets The Sinner.)

In the trailer, we’re introduced to a student named Maja (Hanna Ardéhn), who finds herself on trial for murder after a mass shooting at her Stockholm prep school. The trial not only exposes her relationship with a teacher, but it also makes us question whether she’s the murderer or a victim.

Although the teaser doesn’t give too much away, one thing’s for sure: We’re already hooked.

Quicksand is based on the best-selling novel by Malin Persson Giolito, Störst av allt. The Swedish version was published in July 2016, followed by the English version in March 2017.

In addition to Ardéhn, the series stars Felix Sandman, Samuel Fröler, Anita Olatunji, Maria Sundbom, William Spetz, Sven Wollter, Anna Björk, Shanti Roney and Reuben Sallmander. It is directed by Per-Olav Sørensen (Nobel, The Saboteurs) and written by Camilla Ahlgren (The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo, Marcella).

Quicksand will hit Netflix on Friday, April 5. *Adds to queue*
