Queen Elizabeth Donned Florals and an Ear-to-Ear Smile During Latest Virtual Event

Queen Elizabeth is getting back to her (virtual) royal business. And she’s doing it with a smile on her face.

On Tuesday, Her Majesty held virtual audiences with two incoming ambassadors from her home at Windsor Castle. If you didn’t know, audiences are one-on-one meetings with the queen and are an important part of her daily work. Her Majesty met with Ivita Burmistre, ambassador from the Republic of Latvia, and Sara Affoue Amani, ambassador from the Republic of Côte d'Ivoire, who were both attending the Zoom from Buckingham Palace.

Lucky for us, the official Royal Family Instagram account shared snaps from the event featuring a close-up look at the 95-year-old monarch on Zoom. For the occasion, she looked chic in a blue and green floral dress, a matching broach and her three-string pearl necklace. She topped off her look with an ear-to-ear smile.

The engagement comes less than a week after Elizabeth rang in her birthday and almost two weeks after Prince Philip’s funeral. Following her birthday, the royal shared a special message thanking fans and followers for their support during her family’s difficult time.

She wrote, “I have, on the occasion of my 95th birthday today, received many messages of good wishes, which I very much appreciate. While as a family we are in a period of great sadness, it has been a comfort to us all to see and to hear the tributes paid to my husband, from those within the United Kingdom, the Commonwealth and around the world.”

There’s nothing like seeing Liz on Zoom.
