“We join together in a moment of remembrance and reflection for those who have lost their lives during the pandemic and pay tribute to the healthcare professionals, keyworkers and volunteers working for and in support of the NHS,” they captioned the post.
And this isn’t the first time the queen lit up the tower to show her support. In April, she made the gesture to mark appreciation as part of the Clap for Careers campaign, in which people across the country joined together to clap for frontline workers. And in March, the monarch penned a powerful note addressing the British people’s ability to come together.
“As Philip and I arrive at Windsor today, we know that many individuals and families across the United Kingdom, and around the world, are entering a period of great concern and uncertainty,” she wrote. "We are all being advised to change our normal routines and regular patterns of life for the greater good of the communities we live in and, in particular, to protect the most vulnerable within them. At times such as these, I am reminded that our nation’s history has been forged by people and communities coming together to work as one, concentrating our combined efforts with a focus on the common goal.”
We are loving all of this support from the royal fam.
