If you look closely, you’ll notice that Queen Elizabeth is sporting a fresh hairstyle that was seemingly trimmed within the past few days. Although she typically rocks a short cut, it’s usually a few inches longer than pictured here. It will likely grow back in no time, but longer or shorter, Her Majesty looks fab.
The monarch wore a white long-sleeve dress that featured a pink floral pattern. She accessorized the look with a delicate pair of reading glasses and loafers.
According to Hello! magazine, she was awarded with the Canterbury Cross “due to her ‘unstinting service’ to the Church of England over her 70-year reign.” The cross was inspired by a 9th-century Saxon brooch, but it was custom made in honor of the queen’s Platinum Jubilee. (Fun fact: The intricate pattern represents “love, loyalty and affection.”)
Unfortunately, the exact timing of Queen Elizabeth’s haircut is unknown because the monarch wore hats when she stepped out for the Platinum Jubilee. Still, it seems the monarch hadn’t received her summer haircut (at least not yet) when she posed on the balcony.
Thank you, Queen Elizabeth, for reminding us to make a much-needed haircut appointment.
