Queen Elizabeth Was Spotted Wearing a Small Harry & Meghan Tribute

Sure, Queen Elizabeth is making Prince Harry and Meghan Markle give up their HRH titles, but that doesn’t mean she’s totally against their decision to move to Canada. In fact, the 93-year-old monarch showed her support for the Duke and Duchess of Sussex during a recent public outing.

Yesterday, the queen attended Sunday church service at St. Peter & St. Paul Church in West Newton, Norfolk. The royal wore a powder blue coat and matching hat, which she accessorized with her Canadian snowflake brooch.

The accessory immediately caught our attention, since it pays a special tribute to Prince Harry and Markle’s new home.

Queen Elizabeth was given the brooch back in 2017 in honor of her 65th year on the British throne. It was a gift from the former Governor-General of Canada, David Johnston, on behalf of the Canadian people. It features 48 rare sapphires surrounded by a sea of diamonds, so “flashy” is a total understatement.

Many believe the accessory is a small nod to Prince Harry and Markle, who recently announced they’re stepping down as senior members of the royal family. Although Queen Elizabeth agreed to let them move to Canada with their 8-month-old son, Archie Harrison Mountbatten-Windsor, she later revealed they’ll be losing their HRH titles after the “period of transition.”

Baby steps, people.
