Princess Eugenie Posts Message to ‘Grannie’ the Queen with More Pics of Baby August

Even though the queen’s Platinum Jubilee has come to an end, Princess Eugenie still has a few kind words to say about her grandmother’s monumental milestone.

Over the weekend, members of the royal family and loyal admirers came together to celebrate the monarch’s 70-year reign on the British throne. While it’s only been a few days since the festivities concluded, Eugenie wanted to share a special message to “Grannie” on Instagram.

In the photo slideshow, the princess posted a picture of the queen's surprise appearance at the closing ceremony, followed by other snapshots that were taken during the four-day celebration. The message read, “Thank you, Your Majesty, Grannie, for 70 years of service, selflessness and dedication. You are such a shining light for us all.”

Princess Eugenie also shared a photo of her 1-year-old son August, who is sitting in the front row of the Platinum Pageant. The mother of one has a lot of photos of her son on IG, but his face is partially covered in most of them. Only this time, we get a rare glimpse of his side profile. He’s also sporting a baby blue sweater (with the U.K. flag across the front) with a white collared shirt.

Another pic showed the young royal experiencing his first-ever Trooping the Colour alongside his parents. Princess Eugenie, August and her husband, Jack Brooksbank, watched the RAF flypast ceremony on a rooftop. In the series of photos, the trio waved at the planes that flew by.

Thank you, Eugenie, for the heartwarming message (and the cute pics of little Augie).
