Princess Eugenie's Special Nickname Was Just Subtly Revealed in a Photo Shoot with Her Mom, Sarah Ferguson

We love learning about the special nicknames used in the royal family. Whether it's the fact that Queen Elizabeth has been called “Gary” or that Prince William has been called “Wombat,” we eat it up every time. (We even compiled a list of every royal family nickname here.)

And while we've previously learned that Princess Eugenie is sometimes referred to as “magic dust” by her mom, Sarah Ferguson, we just found out about a totally new pet name.

The discovery was thanks to Town & Country Magazine, who recently held an in-depth interview with the princess's mom. Along with the interview, the Duchess of York posed for some outdoor shots, one of which included her standing on a rope swing. As Town & Country pointed out, if we look realllly closely, we are able to spot an inscription on the front side of the swing that says “Euge & Jack,” referring to the duchess's younger daughter and her husband, Jack Brooksbank.

The photograph, taken by Misan Harriman, was shared on the Town & Country Instagram account, where they said, “The Duchess, who is featured in this T&C exclusive digital cover story, has endured decades of scrutiny as a British tabloid fixture, but is finally ready to clap back. Read more at the link in bio.” Ferguson's look was styled by Hannah Teare.

“Euge” and her older sister, Princess Beatrice, are the only two daughters of the Duchess of York. Princess Eugenie married her husband in 2018 and the pair welcomed their son, August, in February of this year. She shared a rare photo of August for her birthday in March and said, “Thank you for the birthday love yesterday… I got the best present I could ask for!!”

Now we'll just anxiously wait to find out what August will call his grandma Fergie.
