Princess Eugenie & Jack Brooksbank Just Stepped Out for Their First Official Joint Engagement

Princess Eugenie is officially back on royal duty and this time she has a couple of helping hands.

The 28-year-old Princess of York stepped out for her first official joint engagement with her new husband, Jack Brooksbank, and her father, Prince Andrew. The trio visited the Royal National Orthopaedic Hospital in London to open the newly erected Stanmore Building.

Needless to say, they made the most of their special occasion. The newly minted Brooksbanks and Prince Andrew met with patients and staff members of the hospital and even came face to face with a robot named Pepper.

To mark Stanmore Building’s opening, Princess Eugenie was also named patron of the RNOH Charity.

The Royal National Orthopaedic Hospital is a cause close to Princess Eugenie’s heart and history. Last July, the Princess of York opened up about her struggle with scoliosis in honor of International Scoliosis Day and shared details of the surgery she underwent at RNOH to correct the condition. At the age of 12, she endured an eight-hour corrective surgery that placed eight-inch rods in her spine and one-and-a-half-inch screws in her neck. She shared the x-rays on social media last year to bring awareness to the issue.

But that wasn’t the only way she paid homage to the life-changing surgery. She also famously highlighted her scars from the surgery by selecting a wedding dress with a low back. It was a bold but classic look, much like the outfit Princess Eugenie wore today.

This might be the couple’s first royal engagement, but we sure hope it’s not their last.
