Princess Diana’s Brother Shares Heartfelt Photo Ahead of Emotional Anniversary

Charles Spencer is taking a moment to honor his sister, Princess Diana, on the anniversary of her death.

This week, the 58-year-old historian shared a photo on his personal Instagram account. The picture featured flowers and postcards that were left at Althorp House, Diana’s childhood home and final resting place.

The bouquets were placed on a simple black bench that’s situated underneath a silhouette picture of Princess Diana. The tributes were left in honor of the late princess, who tragically passed away on August 31, 1997.

The caption read, “Floral tributes left at Althorp today—by visitors from around the world.”

Althorp House will always hold a special meaning to the Spencer family. Not only does Charles (Spencer, not the prince) still reside in the residence (located in Northamptonshire), but it’s also where Princess Diana was buried.

This isn’t the first time Spencer has posted about his sister on social media. Back in April, the historian shared an old family pic on Instagram that appeared in a newspaper in 1966. Spencer was two years old in the snapshot, while Diana was only five at the time.

He wrote in the caption, “A snapshot of family life in 1966.”

Sending major love to Spencer and the entire royal family, especially Prince William and Prince Harry.
