Princess Beatrice finally found her prince in millionaire property magnate and philanthropist Edoardo Mapelli Mozzi.
All eyes were on the 30-year-old Princess of York last night as she stepped out with her new boyfriend, 34, for the first time publicly at the National Portrait Gala in London.
The new couple looked chic in a red velvet dress for her and a classic tuxedo for him as they arrived at the gala and walked the red carpet together. They opted to not hold hands but kept close to one another throughout the evening.
Princess Beatrice and Mapelli Mozzi have reportedly been dating since last November but have known each other as family friends for years. In fact, her mom Sarah Ferguson, even follows Mapelli Mozzi on Instagram and Twitter. So how do they all know each other? Well, Mapelli Mozzi is the stepson of the late Christopher Shale, who passed away at Glastonbury festival in 2011. Before his death, Shale was close with then-prime minister David Cameron, who is a longtime pal of Beatrice’s parents, Prince Andrew and Sarah Ferguson.
The princess most recently dated Dave Clarke for nearly ten years before they broke up in 2016. Her new beau shares a 2-year-old son with his ex-fiancee, Dara Huang.
But the Princess of York wasn’t the only royal who captured attention at the National Portrait Gala this year. Kate Middleton stunned in a black floral Alexander McQueen gown that was similar to a dress she wore to the BAFTAs in 2017, but with short sleeves instead of off-the-shoulder.
Suffice it to say, it was quite a night for the royal family.
