Prince William Shows Off His Soccer Skills in New Pics on Instagram

The prince is ready to hit the pitch!

In a new series of photos on Instagram, Prince William was seen partaking in a variety of sporty activities, one of which involved him playing a little soccer (or as they call it across the pond: football).

The royal visited the Copper Box Arena with his wife, Kate Middleton, where they celebrated the 10th anniversary of the Coach Core charity, an organization that, according to their website, “delivers an inclusive and impactful sports coaching apprenticeship that develops the talents of young people and provides them with a range of vital skills for sport, work and life.”

The caption read, “Skills for sport, work and life. 10 years of @wearecoachcoreuk. 10 years supporting disadvantaged young people. 10 years of sports coaching apprenticeships, re-engaging with education and increasing activity levels in local communities. Here’s to many more years of celebrating Coach Core’s legacy and impact.”

The first slide showed Prince William swinging his leg as he goes to kick a soccer ball, while the third slide captured him wearing boxing gloves and hitting a punching bag. Meanwhile, Princess Catherine was seen chatting with a few employees from Coach Core in the second slide, while the final photo featured her laughing (perhaps at something her hubby was doing).

As a frequent sports watcher, we loved seeing the royal show off his own skills. And it seems we weren't the only ones. One user commented, “Love seeing their sporty sides.” Another added, “Prince William has his game face on.”

While photos from the event only showed the prince engaging in soccer and boxing, we're curious to know whether he took part in any other activities. However, we do know that Prince William addressed the people there, because one pic showed him seemingly giving a speech to the crowd.

Of course, Prince William isn't the only sporty one in the family. After she became Patron of the Rugby Football Union, Princess Catherine joined a rugby training session this past February, where she appeared to be having a blast as she ran around and tossed the rugby ball.
