Days after Prince Harry and Meghan Markle rocked the world with their tell-all Oprah Winfrey interview, another member of the royal family is speaking out: Prince William.

In case you haven't had access to the internet or a newspaper (or, like, people) for the last five days, the Duke and Duchess of Sussex sat down with Winfrey on Sunday for a highly publicized and highly explosive interview about their experience with the royal family.

In it, Markle discussed the racism and racist attitudes she faced both inside and outside the Palace walls. She told Winfrey that a member of the royal family had even made wildly inappropriate comments about the potential skin color of her (then future) son, Archie Harrison Mountbatten-Windsor. Prince Harry later followed up and corroborated the story, though he wouldn't say who had made the comments.

Well today, Prince William and Kate Middleton stepped out for the first time publicly since Sunday. William answered questions from a reporter and finally spoke out about the claims.

In answer to a shouted question, the Duke of Cambridge told Sky News, "We are very much not a racist family." This came seconds after he revealed that he had not yet spoken to Harry post-interview. "No, I haven't spoken to him yet, but I will do."

This isn't the first member of the royal family to speak out. On Tuesday this week, Buckingham Palace released a heartfelt statement on behalf of the 94-year-old monarch in response to the Duke and Duchess of Sussex’s claims. “The whole family is saddened to learn the full extent of how challenging the last few years have been for Harry and Meghan,” it read.

It also addressed accusations that were made about the couple’s 1-year-old son, Archie. “The issues raised, particularly that of race, are concerning,” it continued. “While some recollections may vary, they are taken very seriously and will be addressed by the family privately.”

The statement concluded with a heartwarming message: “Harry, Meghan and Archie will always be much loved family members.”

Okay, Prince Charles. What say you?
