Although it was an arranged meeting, Caught admitted that he was taken aback by how genuine they are. “I think the thing that really surprised me is actually how much the Duke and Duchess genuinely care because when there aren’t press around or an audience, they’re actually really engaging and asking very smart questions, which bely that they are doing their research,” he told Hello! magazine.
Caught went on to applaud the couple for their dedication to raising awareness about sensitive topics, adding, “I think for people of their stature to actually be shining a light on mental health really helps to fight against the stigma and the misconception and the misperception that ‘it’s all in your head, it’s a load of nonsense, you just need to pull yourself up by your bootstraps.’”
This isn’t the first time Prince William and Middleton have done a Zoom video for a special cause. Earlier this week, the royal couple made a surprise virtual visit to Shire Hall Care Home in Cardiff and took turns as guest bingo callers.
If the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge need special guests for their next Zoom call, they know where to find us.
