Prince William and Kate Middleton Team Up with Dua Lipa (& More Stars) for Radio Takeover

Kate Middleton and Prince William are teaming up with some major stars to help spread awareness about the importance of mental health.

To mark the beginning of Mental Health Awareness Week in the U.K., the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge took over the country’s radio stations Monday morning to remind citizens that they are not alone during the current coronavirus pandemic. For the special broadcast, the royal couple enlisted the help of famous friends, including pop star Dua Lipa, actor David Tennant, boxer Anthony Joshua and English soccer star Harry Kane.

The one-minute message was part of an initiative between the couple's mental health campaign, Heads Together, and the U.K.’s Radio Center (head of the country’s commercial radio). For those of us who missed it (or simply don’t have access to Britain’s radio programming), Kensington Palace shared the entire clip, including video, on their official Instagram page.

“We’re all connected. And sometimes just talking about how you’re feeling can make a big difference,” William said during the broadcast. “So right now, let’s join together across the U.K. and reach out to someone.”

“If you’re struggling, it’s important to talk about it,” Middleton added in the clip. “Or if someone you know is acting differently, it’s okay to ask how they are. Use this moment to send a message.”

We can’t wait to see what Kate and Will have planned for the rest of the week.
