Unless you've been living under a palace (jealous), you know that a royal baby son was born on Monday, May 6, to Duchess Meghan Markle and Prince Harry...and his relatives—like us—are freaking out.
Prince William and Kate Middleton are aunt and uncle again, and gushed over the birth of Baby Sussex to reporters on Tuesday.
In a video posted to Twitter by royal correspondent Rebecca English, the Cambridges said they look forward to meeting their nephew, Baby Sussex.
"We’re absolutely thrilled and look forward to seeing them in the next few days," William said. "I’m very pleased to welcome my brother to the sleep deprivation society that is parenting!"
Sleep deprivation society? Yes, William with the dad jokes (always).
When asked about advice for his brother and sister-in-law, the future King of England said: "Plenty of advice, but the next few days I hope the next few days they can settle down and enjoy having a newborn in the family and all the joys that come with that."
Well spoken, Your Highness. Middleton was asked if she had any advice as well.
"It's such a special time... Charlotte just had her birthday, and it's such a great time of year to have a baby. Spring is in the air, and we look forward to meeting him and finding out what his name is going to be!" she said. "The first few weeks is always a bit daunting the first time aorund," Middleton laughed. "So we wish them all the best."
So, do William and Kate really not know what name Harry and Meghan picked out? While Harry said they'd make the name announcement soon, we assumed the royal family was aware of the moniker since it sounded like the Sussexes had already decided.
We guess royal word doesn't travel that fast...but that makes us love this Kate and William giddiness even more.
