Check Out Prince William (and His *Arms*) as He Gets His First Dose of the COVID-19 Vaccine

While Prince Harry and Meghan Markle were the ambassadors of the recent 'VAX Live' concert event, Prince William just made his own statement in support of those who are helping to distribute the coronavirus vaccine.

The Duke of Cambridge used his joint Instagram account with Kate Middleton to share a photo of himself receiving his first dose of the vaccine (and okayyy, we see you, arms!). In his caption, he said, "On Tuesday I received my first dose of the COVID-19 vaccine. To all those working on the vaccine rollout - thank you for everything you’ve done and continue to do."

Prince William received the dose at one of the National Health Service buildings at the Science Museum in London.

The Duchess of Cambridge has also shown her support for healthcare workers in a very personal way, with her recent photography book Hold Still: A Portrait of Our Nation. When Middleton announced the book, she said, "When we look back at the COVID-19 pandemic in decades to come, we will think of the challenges we all faced – the loved ones we lost, the extended isolation from our families and friends and the strain placed on our key workers. But we will also remember the positives: the incredible acts of kindness, the helpers and heroes who emerged from all walks of life, and how together we adapted to a new normal."

Prince William is receiving the vaccine after secretly battling the virus in the spring of 2020. Right around when Prince Charles was diagnosed with COVID-19, the Duke of Cambridge also tested positive and was treated in his home at Anmer Hall in Norfolk. A source revealed that "William was hit pretty hard by the virus—it really knocked him for six," but luckily, the duke enjoyed a full recovery.
