The family announced the exciting news in an official statement and released photos of the newly engaged couple. The pics feature Prince Philippos posing with Flohr just moments after she said, “Yes.” (Props for choosing a great location for a photo opp.)
“Their Majesties King Constantine and Queen Anne-Marie are delighted to announce the engagement of their youngest son HRH Prince Philippos to Nina Nastassja Flohr, daughter of Thomas Flohr and Katharina Flohr,” the statement read, according to Hello! magazine. “Nina and Philippos were engaged on the island of Ithaca in Greece earlier this summer. The details of their wedding will be announced in due course.”
Prince Philippos of Greece and Denmark is the youngest son of King Constantine and Queen Anne-Marie. (His dad is Greek and his mom is Danish, hence the dual title.) He has four older siblings—Princess Alexia (55), Crown Prince Pavlos (53), Prince Nikolaos (50) and Princess Theodora (37). Prince Philippos is currently eighth in the line of succession to the now-defunct Greek throne.
Congratulations to the soon-to-be bride and groom! May your wedding planning efforts be far less complicated than that of Princess Beatrice.
