Prince Harry Makes First Appearance Since London Court Testimony

A week has gone by since Prince Harry, 38, took the stand in London’s High Court of the Royal Courts of Justice to testify against the Mirror Group Newspapers. After making his historical testimony, the Duke of Sussex returned to the States, and now, the royal has made an unexpected appearance at the Warrior Games in San Diego.

Earlier this week, Harry attended one of the final days of the 2023 Warrior Games and cheered on the country’s veterans from the sidelines. Photos taken at the event (and later shared on the Warrior Games Twitter page) show the royal duke shaking the hands of the competing athletes and personally meeting their families.

The caption read: “The final day of competition for #WarriorGames2023 was extra special with a visit from Prince Harry, The Duke of Sussex. Prince Harry spent time with athletes and their families and watched the Sitting Volleyball Finals as the 2023 Warrior Games came to a close.”

Per the official website, the Warrior Games allow ill, wounded and recovering veteran service members to compete in a range of sports like cycling, rugby, basketball and more.

Sound familiar? Back in 2013, Harry went to the Warrior Games and was so inspired by the initiative that he created his own tournament, the Invictus Games.

In November of last year, the official trailer for the 2023 Invictus Games debuted on social media. The trailer featured an iconic moment of Prince Harry playing a fun game of ping pong with his wife, Meghan Markle, 41.

The minute-long trailer was also shared on the Invictus Games Instagram page and the caption read: “Are you ready? The incredible experience that is the #InvictusGames is coming ever closer. Be a part of it to experience the power of sport in recovery in Dusseldorf 9-16 Sept 2023. Tickets for the Opening and Closing Ceremonies are now available!”

By the looks of it, Prince Harry had quite the fun time at the Warrior Games.
