The Duke and Duchess of Sussex just proved they’re going to make the *best* parents, and, um, can you adopt us, pleaseeee?!
While greeting the residents of Dubbo, Australia, on Tuesday during the second day of their royal tour of Oceania, Prince Harry and Meghan Markle met a group of schoolchildren. One little boy, 5-year-old Luke, couldn’t get over Harry’s beard, so much so that after hugging the royal, he started to play with it.
“Luke’s thing is Santa Claus,” Anne van Dartel, principal of Buninyong Public School, Dubbo, told People. “And so as soon as he saw it [Harry’s beard], we went into the panic mode because he’s touching a member of the royal family! And he continued to do it. And he hugged him. So what you and I can’t get away with, my beautiful friend can.”
Van Dartel said Harry then beckoned Markle, who’s more than 12 weeks pregnant, to come meet the boy. “And he introduced him to his wife and said, ‘She would love a cuddle too.’ And he said, ‘Luke will you please give my wife a hug as well?’”
Little Luke then hugged the Duchess of Sussex, and hearts around the world melted in unison.
So, the question remains: Meghan, Harry, can we get a hug, too
