Meghan Markle & Prince Harry Release New Details About Their Transition Including Updates About Their Digital Channels

In today’s royal news, Meghan Markle and Prince Harry are talking about what’s next for their digital media accounts.

Shortly after it was announced that Harry and Meghan may no longer be allowed to use the term "royal" for their website and charitable ventures, an update on their transition was posted to their website Sussexroyal.com.

In case you missed it, last week a spokesperson for the couple announced that due to government restrictions around the use of the word “royal,” the couple will not name their non-profit organization the Sussex Royal Foundation. The duo’s application to trademark the Sussex Royal brand has also been withdrawn.

On Friday, the duke and duchess confirmed the news and released a statement with new details on their future plans—including the fact that their digital media accounts will be getting a bit of a makeover in Spring 2020.

“As The Duke and Duchess of Sussex continue to develop their non-profit organisation and plan for their future, we hope that you use this site as the source for factual information,” they ended their statement. “In Spring 2020, their digital channels will be refreshed as they introduce the next exciting phase to you.”

This upcoming refresh makes sense, considering the majority of the couple’s accounts (Instagram and their official website) currently feature the term “Sussex Royal.”

Spring cleaning at its finest, people.
