Prince Harry Pays Tribute to Son Archie During NYC Trip

Just because Prince Harry didn’t bring his son, Archie Harrison Mountbatten-Windsor, to New York doesn’t mean he can’t honor the 2-year-old during his latest royal outing.

The Duke of Sussex recently arrived in New York City alongside his wife, Meghan Markle. During a visit to the 9/11 memorial, Prince Harry gave a slight nod to Archie, who’s at home in Santa Barbara. As Hello! magazine points out, Prince Harry was carrying a computer case that’s engraved with the phrase: “Archie’s Papa.”

Unfortunately, we don’t know what’s in the case. If we had to guess, we’d say it’s a small laptop or an iPad. Perhaps Prince Harry lets Archie play with his devices when they aren’t in use? Regardless, we’re not surprised by the close-knit father-son duo (particularly considering Archie’s name literally translates to “son of Harry”).

Prince Harry and Markle traveled to New York City to attend Global Citizen Live from Central Park, which will take place on September 25 on the Great Lawn. Global Citizen Live will not only raise awareness about vaccine equity, but it will also feature live performances from artists like Coldplay and Jennifer Lopez.

The couple’s first stop included a visit to the One World Observatory, where they paid their respects to 9/11 victims alongside Governor Kathy Hochel and Mayor Bill de Blasio. The Duke and Duchess of Sussex wore all black for the occasion. While Harry donned a suit and tie, Markle wore a black turtleneck, matching black pants and a black overcoat. As they were leaving the event, the couple showed PDA while chatting with the press.
