Prince George & Prince Louis Have a Sibling Rivalry Going On, According to Kate Middleton

Just because she’s royal doesn’t mean Kate Middleton is free of parental annoyances, including sibling rivalries.

Earlier this week, the Duchess of Cambridge, 38, visited the Nook center in Norfolk and revealed that she’s been teaching her three children—Prince George (6), Princess Charlotte (5) and Prince Louis (2)—how to garden. Middleton admitted the at-home project has brought out a bitterness between George and Louis, who apparently inherited his mom’s green thumb.

“The children are really enjoying growing their sunflowers,” Middleton said. “Louis’s is winning so George is a little grumpy about that!”

While it’s a typical child argument, this is the first time Middleton has mentioned anything about a sense of competition between her two sons. We have no doubt the jealousy is out of love, but it’s admittedly cute coming from the future King of England (aka Prince George).

Middleton’s outing was in honor of Children’s Hospice Week. While there, the royal helped plant a sensory garden and met with staff from East Anglia Children’s Hospices to thank them for their continued work. She also planted flowers alongside EACH volunteers and chatted with two families that have been cared for by the organization.

According to Tracy Rennie, EACH’s director of care, the duchess seemed right at home during the visit. “She didn’t need the gardening gloves we offered her,” Rennie said, per ITV. She “even plunged her hands into the earth with that massive engagement ring on!”

Just wait until Louis finds out he’ll never be king like his brother, George. That’s when the real sibling rivalry begins.
