Prince George Is Following in His Dad’s Footsteps at Prince William’s Charity Polo Match

While all eyes were on Prince Louis and baby Archie during Prince William and Prince Harry’s charity polo match, Prince George subtly hinted that he’s taking after his athletic (sorta) father.

Both the Cambridge and Sussex clans attended today’s King Power Royal Charity Polo Day in Wokingham, England, where Prince William and Prince Harry played against each other. When the royal family arrived at the event, Prince George was seen carrying around a polo mallet—just like his dad.

Unfortunately, the prince’s mallet moment wasn’t captured by photographers. Nevertheless, the young royal proved that he’s just like any other 5-year-old when he was spotted playing in the trunk of his mom’s car. (Typical.)

Although Prince George hasn’t expressed any interest in polo, we wouldn’t be surprised if the young royal started taking lessons in the near future. (After all, there’s nothing quite like seeing your dad play in a celebrity polo match to kickstart a hobby.)

This isn’t the first time that Prince George has shown interest in anything other than becoming king. (Hey, it will probably happen one day.) Kate Middleton previously revealed that both Prince George and Princess Charlotte have taken up photography. To top it off, Prince George is also studying ballet at his school, Thomas’s Battersea School in London.

*Sniff, sniff* Is that a future polo player we smell?
