Prince Charles Steps Out for Prince Philip Tribute with Wife Camilla Parker Bowles

Prince Charles is stepping out to pay tribute to his late father, Prince Philip.

Earlier today, the Prince of Wales, 72, visited the growing Prince Philip memorial at Marlborough House Gardens in London. Prince Charles attended the outing alongside his wife, Camilla Parker Bowles, who offered comfort during his time of need.

During the outing, the royal couple appeared visibly touched as they admired flowers, cards and posters that were left in honor of the late Prince Philip. Although some of the tributes were originally placed at Buckingham Palace (among other locations), they were moved to the gardens in an attempt to discourage crowds from gathering outside the royal residence.

Prince Charles wore a classic navy-blue suit, along with a coordinating shirt, tie and pocket square. Bowles opted for a long dark coat, which fell just below her knees.

According to Hello! magazine, some of the cards honored Prince Philip’s memory. “HRH A True Gentleman. Thank you for your devoted service to our country. We shall miss you,” one read. Others sent their sympathy to the queen, writing, “We are so sorry for your profound loss Your Majesty’s ‘strength and stay’ will endure in our hearts always.” Some messages traveled from afar: “Wishing Your Majesty peace in the days ahead and sending our deepest condolences. Yours sincerely, The Kohler Family, Annapolis, Maryland USA.”
