While the first is a candid shot of the father-son duo, the second is a solo portrait of Prince Harry. The last pic is a throwback that was taken back in 1997 during the royal tour of South Africa. It features young Prince Harry standing alongside Prince Charles as they press their hands into wet concrete.
“Wishing The Duke of Sussex a very Happy Birthday today! [cake emoji],” the caption read.
Prince Charles isn’t the only member of the royal family who wished Prince Harry a happy birthday. He’s following in the footsteps of Prince William, who posted a short and sweet message on social media. “Happy birthday Prince Harry [balloon emoji],” he wrote.
Queen Elizabeth also shared a heartfelt tribute on Instagram and Twitter, featuring a handful of throwback photos of the prince. “Wishing The Duke of Sussex a very happy birthday!” she captioned the posts. So, does this mean the Duke of Sussex is on good terms with his grandma? Based on the photos, it seems highly likely.
Thank you, Prince Charles, for this much-needed walk down memory lane.
