Prince Charles & Camilla Parker Bowles Just Left Quarantine for Their First Public Engagement Since Lockdown Began

Prince Charles and Camilla Parker Bowles are officially back to business—in public, that is.

Although the Prince of Wales and the Duchess of Cornwall never really stopped working, today marked the duo’s first public engagement since the beginning of the coronavirus pandemic (they did, however, attend a private service in honor of VE Day in May). The royal couple spent the morning visiting Gloucestershire Royal Hospital, where they thanked key staff who have been working on the frontlines.

According to Clarence House, HRH and his wife spoke to a range of healthcare professionals including clinicians, volunteers, junior doctors and members of the domestic team (from a safe social distance, of course).

“There is nothing like being able to thank the NHS staff face to face even if the choreography is a little bit different! They are Britain at its best,” Camilla said during the outing.
