Prince Charles & Camilla Parker Bowles Are Embarking on a 3-Day Royal Tour to…

Prince Charles and his wife, Camilla Parker Bowles, are following in the footsteps of Prince William and Kate Middleton by embarking on a multi-day royal tour.

This week, Clarence House shared details on Twitter about the couple’s next outing in May. Prince Charles and Bowles will travel across the pond to Canada, where they will meet with multiple communities in Newfoundland and Labrador, Ottawa and Northwest Territories.

This won’t be the first time that Prince Charles and Bowles have visited Canada. (While it will mark the prince’s 19th trip, it will be Bowles’s fifth.) However, the upcoming royal tour will hold special meaning because it’s in honor of Queen Elizabeth’s Platinum Jubilee, which marks 70 years of service.

Clarence House announced the exciting news on Twitter, writing, “To mark Her Majesty The Queen’s Platinum Jubilee Celebration, The Prince of Wales and The Duchess of Cornwall will visit Canada in May. [Canadian flag emoji] Their Royal Highnesses will meet communities in: [pushpin emoji] Newfoundland and Labrador [pushpin emoji] Ottawa [pushpin emoji] Northwest Territories.”

“The Prince and The Duchess are looking forward to returning to Canada following their last visit in 2017,” Clarence House wrote in another tweet. “TRHs have links with a number of Canadian charities and military affiliations. The @RoyalFamily has a close relationship with Canada—HRH first visited in 1970.”

It’s about time he returned, eh?
