The post features a black-and-white photo that was taken at Archie’s christening back in 2019. It shows Prince Harry holding Archie, while Prince Charles looks over his shoulder. Both royals are candidly gazing at the baby, who probably had no idea he’d soon become a California boy.
The caption read, “Happy birthday to Archie, who turns two today. [cake emoji].” And they added a photo credit to Chris Allerton.
The post is a pretty big deal, since the relationship between Prince Harry and Prince Charles has been rocky as of late. Not only did the Duke of Sussex step down as a senior royal, but he also spilled several family secrets during his tell-all interview with Oprah Winfrey, which aired on CBS.
However, Prince Charles wasn’t the only member of the royal family to wish Archie a happy birthday. While Queen Elizabeth posted a throwback photograph on her official IG account, Prince William and Kate Middleton also shared a special tribute on their joint Instagram page (which recently changed from @kensingtonroyal to @dukeandduchessofcambridge). The caption read, “Wishing Archie a very happy 2nd birthday today.”
