What the Pope Just Said About Breastfeeding Has Us Saying Hallelujah

While many women still face harassment for breastfeeding in public (despite it being completely normal, healthy and necessary), there was a small victory for moms everywhere this last weekend as Pope Francis confirmed that he’s totally down with breastfeeding in the Sistine Chapel.

On Sunday, the pontiff performed an annual baptism ceremony for children of Vatican employees and told parents: “Breastfeed them. Don’t be afraid, because this too is the language of love.” (Guys, the service lasted more than two hours, so you know those babies were hungry.)

Amen to that.
