Penn Badgley & Domino Kirke Announce Pregnancy with Emotional Caption & Sweet Bump Pic

Penn Badgley and wife Domino Kirke are officially expanding their family.

Today, the 36-year-old DOMINO band member and doula announced via Instagram that she and her You star husband are expecting their first child together.

Kirke, who has a 10-year-old son named Cassius from a previous relationship, opened up about the hardships they faced in conceiving with a candid caption.

“On the road again,” the singer wrote alongside a photo of her baby bump. “Pregnancy after loss is a whole other thing. After two miscarriages in a row, we were ready to call it. I stopped trusting my body and started to accept the fact that I was done. As a birth attendant, I’ve seen and heard it all. It takes everything I’ve got to detach lovingly from the losses I’ve been present for and be in my own experience.”

She went on to explain how this pregnancy has differed from her first with Cassius, writing, “When I was pregnant at 25, I knew nothing. I had no community. I dove in blissfully unaware about birth and its mysteries. Now, with 10 years worth of experience to pull from, I treasure my birth community and the knowledge I have. You’re already teaching us how to stay in the day in a way we’ve never had to, little one. Thank you.”

Badgley, 33, has yet to comment on their exciting news, but he did appear in a series of in-bed selfies on Kirke’s Instagram Stories following the announcement and bump reveal.

The couple, who have been together since 2014, married in a civil ceremony in Brooklyn in February 2017 surrounded by family and friends. Later that year, they celebrated with a large reception upstate where everyone from Debra Messing to Zac Posen fêted the couple. Now, they’re embarking on their next chapter.

All we can say is huge congrats, you two.
