‘Ford v Ferrari’ Wins Best Film Editing at the 2020 Oscars

This next category honors the filmmakers who piece everything together.

Tonight, Hollywood’s biggest stars gathered at the Dolby Theatre in Los Angeles for the 92nd annual Academy Awards. During the ceremony, Ford v Ferrari took home the Oscar for Best Film Editing.

The other nominees in this category included The Irishman, Jojo Rabbit, Joker and Parasite. Joker leads the nominations this year with a whopping 11 nods total including Best Picture, Best Actor and Best Director. The Irishman received 10 noms while both Jojo Rabbit and Parasite earned six. Ford v Ferrari landed a respectable four nominations. All films in this category were also nominated for Best Picture. Wow.

At last year’s event, Bohemian Rhapsody took home the award for this category. The film edged out BlacKkKlansman, Green Book, The Favourite and Vice.

The award for Best Film Editing was first given for films released in 1934. Ford v Ferrari is joining a slew of previous winners, including Bohemian Rhapsody, Dunkirk, Hacksaw Ridge, Mad Max: Fury Road, Whiplash, Gravity, Argo, The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo and The Social Network.

We totally approve of this.
