Up until, well, yesterday, Quentin Tarantino’s upcoming crime drama Once Upon a Time in Hollywood (his ninth film to date) has been a very hush-hush topic. Finally, we’re getting some real details, starting with yesterday’s poster unveiling.
And a new poster just dropped today, featuring Margot Robbie as the late actor Sharon Tate.
Shared on Robbie’s Instagram account, the image depicts Robbie, 28, in a 1960s miniskirt and middle part, standing in front of Los Angeles’s historic Fox Village Theater. Her caption reads, “Hollywood. 1969. #OnceUponATimeInHollywood.” So
In an interview, Robbie told Net-a-Porter that in order to brush up on her role, she read Polanski’s 1985 autobiography.
Once Upon a Time in Hollywood features an ensemble cast, including Leonardo DiCaprio, Brad Pitt, Al Pacino, Emile Hirsch, Timothy Olyphant, Kurt Russell, Bruce Dern, Damian Lewis, Dakota Fanning, Maya Hawke, Lena Dunham and the late Luke Perry, among others. Other details we know? The film will focus on television actor Rick Dalton (DiCaprio) and his stunt double Cliff Booth (Pitt), who live next door to Tate. Oh, and Tarantino is said to have worked on the script for a whopping five years.
The film is set to be released July 26, so we still have forever to wait.
